Fun ?????

If i want something desperately for a build that i've been waiting for a long time then i'm winning it with an auction sniper as i'll be all fingers and thumbs and my bid would probably have an extra 7 0's on it which weren't supposed to be there.

been watching a frame and forks myself at the mo and it went up to £180 with 4 days left  :idiot2:

I've been watching a frame that was £6 ... then with 6 days left it went to £72  then yesterday with 3 days left its back to £6??????

I find that often... when I ask a question like 'can I get a courier to come collect' then drop the minimal bid ( so its in my buying list and I get email reminders ) it then gets bids on it straight away... which was what happened above. He must have shilled it up to £72 then realised I wasn't gonna bid to go over it and pulled the bid...

There is a special part of hell for these people  >:D

The new idiot-proof countdown timer has made it harder to manually snipe items now as everyone else is sitting at their computer with their finger hovering above the button.  There was a real art to hitting the button at the right time with the help of a stopwatch or similar.  Trust eBay to suck the fun out of that aspect of bidding too.   >:(

Bid history does look strange, but I agree with londonhellboy and thebigdog above, it may be that the current high bidder is only bidding in small increments thinking it’ll keep the price lower, but still just enough to let them win it.

Bidders can be strange for sure – I have a frame and forks listed in a 10 day auction at the moment with 49 watchers – bidding went up to £51 a few days in (reserve not met), but has sat at that amount ever since.

Hope it picks up again, as I got my eye on another frame.

Good luck with that rebel – nice frame.
