Visible joint in Araya 7X ?

Is this visible join line normal in a set of Araya  7X 20 x1.5 ?. Looking at 4 NOS rims , totally unmarked never used but all have the same line. Does not seem to affect the strength of the rim but curious as I dont have any others to Compare to. Runs the whole way around

 :) Just the join where the 2 ends of the rim are pinned together.

Yes mate stamped ARAYA  20 X 1.50 Japan

Aha!  1.5's so these will be from the mid 80's onwards - looks like they are just pinned and maybe welded internally (if at all) and not at all externally.  Shouldn't affect the strength but would have been cheaper for Araya to make ;).
