Kuwahara E.T 30th anniversary limited edition bike
Devilock:
Nice one Glyn cheers.
Im surprised Ive never seen one restored exactly like the one in the film... Why bother putting E.T. on it...??!
Glynnyboy:
There have been a few done.
I think dannyd did one and steve costa did one last year.
To be honest i was thinking about this the other day and was looking for the video release date of the film.
I saw it in 83 after it's december 82 release. The next time i saw it i was working.
The E.T. bike image that most stands out in my mind is the one that appeared in BMX biweekley and Action bike.
The adds appeared in a few issues in 83. They obviously had et on them for the marketing, all had comp 3's on in those pics too even though the bike didn't come with them on.
That's why when i restored mine i wanted it looking like the add.
To be honest if i owned a KZ frame i would want to build a KZ, after all they were the reason Kuwahara got chosen for the film to start with. :coolsmiley:

So you have one with those colours minus the E.T....? :)
Show me! :D
Max Out!:
I was inspired by one of the Elliot reps on here, so that's what I'm currently working on. Actually, I have 95% of the parts already. I think I landed pretty lucky! I still have my original ET from '82, but always wanted one the same as the movie.. ::)
meticulous:
i've got one of the striped ones....
it is complete, just not finished off yet.... ;)
