Street Beat fork problem

bloody hell 1cm, thats 10mm which is the total size of the axels, I have done this to my lads wheels to fit them in GT forks all i took off was the threads on both sides and they fitted fine

You only need to file off the threrads (about 1mm each side) but make sure you only do the bit where the fork dropouts go and also that you do oposite sides  :daumenhoch:

Ive installed sealed bearing (minus the fleccy hole) & alloy's & had no problems with either so not sure why you're experiencing problems...

Sorry, I meant along the thread from the nut, not through it! I want to be able to tighten the nut and not screw the axle up

I've found another thread (no pun intended) where 5mm has been suggested

it's easy, just put the forks up to the axle and you can see where you need to file them  :daumenhoch:
