Pad sets
GRAB ON KID:
Deffo padsets.BITD it was part of how we customized our bikes individually & gave them more identity. We all had our fave makes & another chance to show more cool logos is a good thing in my book.
They also had the advantage of saving your knees & nuts from getting ripped off on the sharp edge of your Tuf-neck or having a Race Inc crossbar embedded in your skull!
Kind of an added bonus i think. ::)
Glynnyboy:
I would always put them on a race bike build.
Had no decals, pads, or ball0cks bitd due to no pads.
That was just how we rode round the streets near me though (like marky)
, I never raced though.
That Swan Guy:
They're a must IMO :daumenhoch:
In2 bmx:
I had padsets bitd but always think some of my bikes look better without them . ;)
And original survivor pads hardly ever come up nowadays and even tho steve's are mint ( I have a few sets )
They don't quiet look the same .. :daumenhoch:
CustardLips:
Seem to remember BITD most of the kid's round our way used to do away with bar and stem pad but keep the frame pad on. Landing on the top-tube after slipping off the pedals never tickled yer bollocks as far as i can remember ! :'(
