1988 GT Performer - Slight Tubing Impact - Possible to straighten?

(1/2) > >>

Orange777:
Hi,

I have bought a F&F and did not realise at the time that there was some slight impact damage. My plan was to get "superbikedan" to strip the colour off, and try and get back to its original state, although now I am not sure it's possible.

Any idea on whether getting this straight again is going to be possible, either by me or by a specialist on here.

Was going to strip back today to try and see the serial number and check it was an '88, but will await harming the paintwork further until I know if I am looking at mission impossible...

Thanks in advance!!

Discostu:
That doesn't. Look that hard to repair. Go ahead and strip it.  :daumenhoch:

Jaymz:
I've seen much worse repaired .

Dannywhac:
Yeah - gerrit stripped  :daumenhoch:

Not original paintwork, strip it and send it off to Sawzall who'll repair the dents for you and he'll (if you ask nicely) send it straight on to SBD for you :)

Thanks again gents!!

I thought that the dings could be filled and sanded but was not sure how I would approach the crushed tubing!

I shall send Sawzall a PM and see if he can help!

CHEERS!!!!! :) :)
