Thread help. 9/16 to 1/2 ???

Hi folks. I'm tweaking my Skyway T/A at the moment, and would like to stick a pair of hutch bear trap pedals on it. The only trouble is that I want to leave the one piece sugino crank on the build. Is there any way I can:

1. Change the 9/16 pedals/spindles to 1/2 (either by swapping the spindle completely, or re-machining the thread)?

2. Change the size of the crank thread to 9/16?

Hope someone can help or offer advice.

changing the spindles would be the easiest option if you can get them or changing the cranks to 3piece, i don't think you would have much luck trying to machine pedals or cranks to fit.
