Can someone remind me how to remove anodizing?

hello, I know it was posted ages ago but sifting through 60 odd pages of tips to find the post takes a bit of time....trying to remove the blck anodizing off the top of a haro group 1 stem. Tried paint stripper and graffiti remover and so far nowt. i'd be very grateful......

caustic soda, i believe. gloves,protective eyewear, and a bucket of water with caustic soda

dont get it on any part of you. dont breath the fumes. dont itch when you inevitably get a bit on you. run it under water.
dont leave it in to long. 10-15 seconds max. keep an eye on it at all times.
have somthing ready to take it out with.
