then i got a job (through my dad at the Aussie embassy) cleaning diplomatic Aussi cars....and a massive £10 a week after a month i could go down to Alpine sports and buy
one wheel at a time! once i had all 4 over the Waterloo bridge to Southbank or skate all the way to Westbourne park Meanwhile gardens! whoo woo! Bmx's were unusual there then!
The American skate board gear was so expensive back then even wheel bearing were a fortune.
