Today I bought, or it got delivered, or I fitted...

No, no bike this time.
Funnily enough I’ve also booked for September. Paid that last year lol. That’s the bike one. I’ve also paid my mate who has an Audi estate to taxi me there and home again .
This one I went on the train. For the first time alone in 17 years. Not easy when you’re agoraphobic tbh. However I had a psychiatrist appointment the Thursday before and he gave me two Diazepam. One for there one for back. It worked. I’m knackered lmao. Not walked that much in years and sort of overdone it with the arthritis. Usually I’d do one day out one resting but I went a bit ham and I’m paying for it now haha.
Needed it though.
BTW it pished down all week so the bike would have been useless any way.

I doubt I will ever ride a 20 again. However, I now only have one I could ride or would want to.. My S&M.
Problem is I got a Freecoaster. And I don't like it, just from the quick go I had.
So whilst on holiday I had a poke about and this is what I got.

Will take it to Chichester (ESP) when it arrives and get it laced properly.

What didn't you like about the freecoaster? I've never ridden one but must admit to being curious about them, so will see if I can borrow somebody's bike to have a go.

It takes a moment to engage. So if you don’t sorta stomp the pedal without your weight on it it’s very easy to fall forward.
It’s the same philosophy as pedal back brakes. The only difference is a free coaster isn’t bolted to the frame.
It’s an age old design with the same age old problem. Obviously due to clutch material and etc getting better it’s better but it’s far from being perfect. It’s also ass heavy at 680 grams.
Fly are the only company to perfect the free coaster with the Magneto hub but boy do you have to pay up for one.
OK so the hub arrived. It’s lovely. I bought some Halo SS spokes as my local shop only had black. Had to buy 16mm nipples as the Halo come with 12mm, but both were on sale so I’m at around 30 quid which was what my local wheel builder quoted for black.
That would have looked poo though…
I’m going into Chichester tomorrow to get it laced.
Will I ever ride it? I doubt it, but it will be nice to have a ride ready BMX there just in case.

Wheel is done. Always nice to hang out with Jamie.
He said that the hub is basically a complete clone of the Profile Elite. Mad.
Wheel is done. Just waiting on some Allen sockets so I can do the wheel up properly.
Will up some photos at some point. I’m just crazy busy atm. Had a removal company bring all my stuff from mums so I’ve been sorting and putting things away. It was more than I thought lol.
