what to choose!

I have recently bought a 2009 Racing PK RIPPER  frame only, it has euro BB  I want to use a Profile/Redline  42/44t chain ring but am un sure what rear drive gear to use?
 i currently have a Team ripper 1983 ish with 44 chain ring and i think 16t rear  i have been told that modern wheels won't accept old style back cogs can some one bring some light to this.
The 2009 isn't going to be a sunday driver its gonna be a rider for the summer, oh I'm gonna be using profile'redline cranks on the 2009er.

you can 1get 16t drivers if not traditional threaded hubs, also a 41-15 is the same as 44-16  :daumenhoch:
