Question about welding... calling all Sawzall's!!!!

(1/2) > >>

Redline:
I have recently purchased an old alloy SE frame which has a small amount of chain rub on one of the rear seat stays... apparently typical on these frames.

My question is if I have it filled with weld and then dress it up, will you see a fine outline of the shape where it was welded as I'm planning to have the frame annodised and want to know whether it will show up or not?

Cheers for any advice dudes  :daumenhoch:

HUTCHMAN:
no mate, with a bit of filing and re finishing it will dissappear.I've done exactly this on my straight stay ripper,on the drop outs. Were nearly obliterated by a freewheel fitted too close to the frame.
