So if you can afford it now then that's the way to go. Personally I don't like the look of opc so all of my bikes have 3 piece. Personnel preference I suppose.

Suppose I'm not that fussy as I built it to ride, but I still like the look of the twin pinchers on my haro (and I'm not worried that losing one bolt means they'll fall into the gutter while pedaling down oxford street)
I'll get my coat ;D

All my mid and new schools run 3 piece, one out of 3 old schools run 3 piece
GRAB ON KID:
We all started on one piece but we all wanted 3pc.I couldn't afford them but I saved up my paper route money, lunch money, raked & mowed lawns,etc.. to get my 1st set of dura ace on lay away plan back in the 70's.Did the same w/my suntour vx's,then later moved on to 401's & Profiles.I was poor but it depended on how bad you wanted them.I wanted them bad so worked for it.To me 3pc cranks will always be & look way better than 1pc.Apart from early builds other builds look slightly skimped on to me when i see them w/1pc cranks. This is not a put down on 1pc, just my honest opinion. Cheers,Mike :daumenhoch:

Era correct one piece over a set of twin pinch any day.
GRAB ON KID:
Ditto on the twin pinch comment, era correct 3pc over 1pc for me though.
