(1/4) > >>

Dt123:
hey boys,
seem to just tinker these dyes with the only bike i have left
i have a black kasha aero that i got of the badger years ago, got a couple of shiny bits on and not even it so thinking of dying it black again

its has the gold kashimax aero lettering on the side , am i safe to do so
if so how the took do i go about it, i know there are about 50 threads in ere but can't be fooked to look :LolLolLolLol:

BENDYCAT ELEVENTEEN:
So you want to dye it black ?

you might find the gold decals stay on there - but some times they can come off or dull a bit

if you bleach it in anyway - they will come off

you need Dylon or Rit dye
pot or pan
some salt

simmer water - not too hot that it boils
add salt
then add Dye
stir well
and add seat

as it only is in for a short time you will not need to cover the rails in any wax

gentle stir once in a while to move round the mixture

half an hour to an hour it should be done - if not put back in - but with black you can't go over as it will not get any lighter

hope this helps

and don't spill any or you will have to paint the kitchen black to match it all

cheers B  ;)

Dt123:
cheers B

Its black already, the gold lettering on the side is embossed on the seat, not stickers - fingers crossed they will be ok

thanks again :daumenhoch:
