Sorry for the late reply hope these pics help I just got a small wood chisel and shaped the shaft and put a hook on the end to get between the steel cup and alloy hub if you get stuck I will get them out for you

Mark now you have them out, is there a steel sleeve running through the centre ?
I know there is on the sealed bearing hubs once you have taken the bearings out.
cca used to bung the hub ends to annodise them without the steel inside compramising anything, most annodisers won't entertain this though but if there is none then once the cups are out the loose ball one's would be perfect for anno.

From looking at the hub it's gold all the way through as the same with the small flange sealed ones I have too
No sleeve in these
