Synstrip. Anyone want to sell me a small quantity?
BENDYCAT ELEVENTEEN:
will it strip powder ?
superbikedan:
jon best is bite the bullet and buy the tub, £22 aint expensive and it will last you ages, best stripper to
date and it will remove most paints no probs :daumenhoch:
Tidelander:
For powder you have to use an aerosol gasket remover - it is much more concentrated than normal paint remover and takes powder off in 5-10 mins
I used to use one called Permatex 80646 Gasket Remover but it has been dicontinued in the UK recently - there may still be a few places selling off old stock - There is a low VOC version for sale but it doesn't work for some reason - I think it must be the aerosol version. There are others out there - haven't tried them myself and dont know if these work as well / at all but would be interested to hear if someone fancies a science project
Here's the ones I could find that seemed similar in composition
Loctite 7200 http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/120902361490?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&adtype=pla

Here's pics of the gasket cleaner doing its stuff on some DX's that I originally had powder coated then hated the finish and stripped back

Jon
I just bought a batch, if it comes with a SBD stamp of approval, it works for me :daumenhoch: - would be happy to siphon off 250ml and post if you cover my postage costs. I am away for the rest of this week - so unless you are in a huge rush, if I get it for this weekend I can send some in the post Monday next week - let me know and PM me details of where to send if that timing works for you
ED209:
Good work Mr Tidelander ...
or ... I could do with some Jon ... so if you wanna go halves on a £22 tub then get it and I will buy half off you :)
