Spray-dyeing plastic, anyone tried it?

I might be wrong but im pretty sure RIT and Dylon won't touch plastics  :-\  .... just nylon based stuff .

I have tried dylon on some motor cross plastics, doesn't touch it. Best results were from sanding, wet n dry, then buff polish! Would be interested in the spray dye results,,
