If you're riding the Kuwi, don't be afraid to put a 43T on the front. I run a 43 with a 14T on one and a 44 with a 14T on the other of my Direct links. Both are great gearing. I also use 175 arms which I guess you have too.

Cheers, I`ve got a 40T blue machined tooth sugino I might try. The old legs aint as strong as they used to be. :)
