Square taper BB Help please !
NORTY40:
I have a crank set that needs a 15mm (measured across the flats on the sq taper) axle . The normal sq tapers for Sugino GT's/Takagi etc use a 13mm taper across the flats .
Can anyone point me in the right direction to a BB or even better has one that measures the elusive 15mm acoss the square taper flats for sale.
Any help would be appreciated :daumenhoch:

This might be a long shot, but try a Raleigh dealer with a workshop. They used something similar on their early mountain bikes, say a Lizard. It had a US bb with a three peice crank, also poss a Mustang too, but I had a lizard so know first hand.

Looks like the Redline 400 cranks came with the larger spindle (15MM across the flats possibly :-\) ...... could someone who has a set of these do me a big favour and measure the square taper for me please .
Thanks lads :daumenhoch:

When I saw the thread I knew you'd be after a square tapered BB for either HLT or Sugino/Redline 400's Joffy
Hard to come by on their own mate , but now and again :daumenhoch:
There's a guy called Cuckoo on here and Museum (Lee) , he did excellent reproduction 400 BB's for about £75/£80 at the time .
I think he's in the Far east , he's a good fella :daumenhoch:
