Chain ring bolts

BENDYCAT ELEVENTEEN:
Why are chain ring bolts so bloody hard to get out after 20 years plus  ::)

Allen key one side - great idea - till they smooth off and spin
other side ? great if they are not done right up to the other bolt, as you could use a flat head screw driver - but if done up like they usually are done, then it will be a couple of bits either side that you can't grip for love or money  :tickedoff:

and you don't want to scratch the chain disc  :2gunsfiring_v1:

so what are your ways of getting them done  ???

it would be nice if there was a tool made back in the day when they designed them ::)

cheers B  :D

Suntour had it sussed - they're allen key front and rear.

As for removing, I'll use a coin on the rear, or something similar. If they're really goosed, there's no option but to drill unfortunately  :(
