***************THE HOLY GRAIL OF HUBS - 1ST GEN SST***************

I just received these hubs this morning and I still can't believe I have managed to land a set. These are by far the coolest hubs ever made and rare doesn't even begin to describe it. SST made only 80 sets of these hubs with a few being damaged during production decreasing the number, then take into account Woody Itson rode an SST rear Coaster hub and an SST front hub thereby spitting yet more pairs and then how ever many pairs that were lost or binned over the last 28 years and the remaining number of 1st Gen SST hub pairs stands at somewhere around 10 - 15.
I bought these off a true gent who was on this forum a number of years ago but who doesn't post here hardly at all these day. BOBBY GHP YOU ARE A LEGEND.
I found these through someone posting an EBay link on here regarding what they considered to be a high price on a NOS headset. I read the entire listing and noticed he said he would be listing these hubs in the near future. I contacted him straight away and after a little negotiation we struck a deal.
This actual hubset was owned by Greg Hill who was sponsored by SST and then given to Tim March who rode them to win the Euros, they then found their way to Bobbyghp then finally to me where they will grace my VDC Gorilla.
I need to source new bearings which is no problem and the rear flanges and front centre will be anodised black to match the colour scheme I'm going with.
The amount of nuts, bolts, washers and the axles I got with these it's like Mecano. :D Steve is really looking forward to lacing these babies up.
Sorry to go on but this is the coolest thing I've ever had delivered.

Nice - bet they'll be a few nervous moments during lacing threading the spokes through those key-holes if you're getting em annodised black :)
