Bit of a long shot but I dont suppose this trick would work for Peregrine platforms would it Stu?  I was thinking of making some you see  :daumenhoch:

Take yours out and measure them. Sketch a pic of the shape and the measurements. Then we can have a look for spindles that are similar.  :daumenhoch:

You can also buy inserts for cranks that convert 9 1/6" to 1/2" 
But I have never used them.  :daumenhoch:
