Stripping Paint Off Handlebars?!?!
« on: July 14, 2006, 09:51 AM »
Guys,

I'm looking for a pair of Chrome Haro Anlun Freestyle Bars for my 85 Freestyler!  As you've seen me moan, can't get them anywhere!!!

Come across a red pair, how easy would they strip and polish?  Guessing they'll never be as shiny as a chrome pair???

Thoughts please!!

Thanks

How much is it to get a pair of bars chromed though?

Sounds expensive, the nos red bars aren't cheap so could work out to cost more than my hopeful budget!!!

stace under the paint it will be bare metal which you could polish but will rust as soon as they get damp, the only way is to get them chromed  :'(

Took the bars into Hampshire Electroplaters today.

£30 for the handlebars.  The Gent told me £30 was minimum order price so I whipped out a pair of Mini Burner bars and said how much for the two??  £40..You can't beat that!!

The guys seem really friendly and I mentioned F&F's,which he said was happy to do.  Once I've got them back and I'm happy I'll find out how much for F&F and let you all know.
