--- Quote from: Stidds on December 21, 2012, 07:14 PM ---T II is definitely Feb 1984 and the only 2 'full sized' race bikes Torker produced in 1984 was the 280x and the Magnum.  The 280x didn't have a gusset and the Magnum did.

Therefore with the addition of the x in the serial number I think you can say it is a Feb 1984 Torker 280x.

I would tend to agree but have not found a 280X with the engineered head tube and BB as well as the flared drop outs or what ever they are called and hence my confusion.

I have looked at all the 280X on the Museum and none I have seen look exactly like this :-(

Not the bestest picture ever but you can see the engineered bottom bracket and flared drop outs (just) on this picture...

So Pro x or 280 x or something fooking stupid  :LolLolLolLol:

The 280x had an oval style front gusset. Looks like a Pro X to me.

Thanks pal, Looks exactly the same to me in every way, hence thinking along the Pro X line, wonder if this is a long lost production run or SN code.
I had a pro X as a kid and was well into it, I cant see any difference at all.

Typical me though, nothing is ever simples

I had to laugh though as someone has hot glued the end of the frame where they meet the rear drop outs, why oh why? easy to remove however ;-)

Nice looking ProX...  :daumenhoch:
