FORKING HELL !!!!!
Funkyworm:
Emergency !!,
Ok I bought some 1982 Landing gear forks, in chrome, paid way too much for them But wanted the to look spanking so I got them reverse electro plated only to find that at lovely the cut away section near the drop outs (the part that on later models are stamped SE) were badly corroded through making a hole braising didn't work to fill the hole so the guy had the rusted section cut away & replaced with new steel braised on & the forks have been re chromed (at another extortionate cost to me) & they look awful.
I'm thinking of taking my dremmel to them to smooth them down somewhat, my question is if i'm successful in my quest to make these look somewhat presentable can these chrome forks be powder coated over or sprayed ?
Thanks in advance !

Pretty sure they can be powdered but you really dont want to be grinding away at chrome.... nasty stuff
