MK - What it means to you!?
Gashead:
Ok, I have been asked to provide some information about MK, which could be used in an article for a publication.
Now I don't want it all 'weighted' from my view point, so following talking to Pickle, we thought we would open this up to the attendees, so we could see it from your view point.
You never know your comments could feature in the write up.
So over to you folks, please be descriptive with the comments (not maybe, it's a weekend to go and get pissed with my mates!)
I will delete any daft posts :daumenhoch:
Thank you !

MK to me a culmination of all the hard work put in by the bike builders and the experts from the OS BMX community, its to show case their build knowledge and dedication of their chosen BMX brands. Its also an opportunity to reaffirm friendships as most of us have families and work long hours and live 100’s of miles apart. For most of the year we only have a virtual/telephone friendship with some of the people, it’s the ideal time to unwind for 48 hours and catch up on personal evens and relive our youth, be it on the track racing, discussing what or where we use to ride or discussing “how to build it right”. There’s always the brand loyalty rivalry as to which is the best…..which will always be SE Racing. The whole atmosphere of the weekend is very relaxed and everyone is made to feel welcome and part of the Old School BMX family.

MK for me could easily be an island in the middle of nowhere. I know that sounds a bit gay, but nothing surrounding MK maters, nothing back at home, work, bills etc matter. All that matters are what's going on on that island. The bikes, the endless chats with like minded people about bikes, the banter, the beers, the beats, the trackies, the trainers, but also the blues when you know you're on your way home and you gotta wait a whole year to visit the island again. :daumenhoch:
