how does it ride? do you feel like you are on a bike? or totally different?

ive sold over 40 pairs of trucks some mtb some bmx
its ppp perfect no issues just have fun
nose manuals are scarry.

So I take it, some people are running them solid with no movement and others running bushes and free to pivot?

yep.
solid aint so nice,my first set was fixed not many tricks are doable.
