Jmc Andy Patterson for sale on BMX talk
Badbaldie:
theres 2 prices for this bike. ..... ...............................................................
how CHEAP and quickly can someone get the bike............................................................. well that price has been and gone :LolLolLolLol:
then MUCH can the seller actually get now he realises its got big £$£$£$£ potential............... and the only way to find out that price is ebay :-\
yeah the frame has probably got a snapped seat post , but thats repairable, and some of the parts may not be top of the range, but how often does a JMC AP come up for sale ?
glenboy:
like christian and lenny says above the ap jmc is in a higher leagur than your normal quads etc and if you think this guys going to sell it for 2 or 300 quid you need to step away from the bong he knows what it is hes put it on a bmx site and hes been on the jmc site as well so i'm sure hes well aware of what its worth but what a great way of drumming up interest , then saying i've put it on ebay auction and hes got all the potential buyers lined up 8)
58 delray:
but this isnt mint or chrome and is snapped not cracked but snapped, no other way you could get that seat clamp where it is unless that was so.
so how much would the repairs cost.... £100 probably to sort the seat tube (not sure what phil is charging these days)
decent chrome job...couple of hundred i would think ?
then its not the OG chrome or paint and having had a repair that must de-value it surely ?
yes its worth more than some of the figures that have been bandied about but i honestly dont think its worth the higher figures either.
those wheels dont look right either, they look like 1.5s to me, or is that just my old eyes :LolLolLolLol:
none of the parts would be reusable on it really as they are only good for a rider.
but on ebay who knows.....it could well top the £1000 mark or no where near due to the damage, either way i hope who ever gets it does it justice cos that is one gorgeous frame set
dan-dare:
Don't presume it is snapped.
The threads have possibly gone on the factory brazed boss, and the second clamp was probably positioned by spreading it open (uuurgh) and then bending it back (auuurgh) into position.
hunterdubber:
1.5 wheels are a great choice for that year ,,,,as they were the new in size in 84 /85 . 8)
The 1984 2nd gen (small gusset ) Harry Leary Turbo came with Chrome Araya 7X 1;5 's as standard from the factory :daumenhoch:
The repair is a relatively easy fix and worth it , seeing as this isn't a £200 Kuwahara Nova :)
I think the £700/750 mark I said earlier is fair, it may not reach it , but also it could go alot more but that's Ebay ::)
Plus Dan's right we can't presumed it's snapped and it doesn't have to be chrome they made them in White or Chrome only :)
Greg £20 for a DK stem ,,, maybe £35 for a rounded top late 80's 90's one , you've had
but if this has the rarer early gen flat square topped one correct for this 84 build ,,that's worth £100 /120 easy too :daumenhoch:
