Is it fair to temp dib for someone else???

I agree with what Dan said.I have done it before and have had it done for me for which i was most grateful.I can see how it would be irritating if someone beats you to something with a temp dib dob for someone else but hey,it happens every day anyway getting beaten to parts-it's win some lose some !I think it's only fair to temporarily dib an item if can inform the person you are dibbing it for easily or know they will be along in the next few hrs/that day .Definitely find the wanted section much more annoying!happened a few times had a wanted ad up and the item has appeared in for sale section whilst the ad was up.Surely it's easier to drop someone a pm if they have a wanted ad up than to go through the ballache of doing a for sale thread? :daumenhoch:

I agree with most that the idea of dibbing for someone else is a cool thing and just looking out for your mates :daumenhoch:
The wanted section, as has been discussed on many occasions, seems to be forgotten about. A shame really. I have had a few posts that have been answered and walked away with the parts I required/needed but, on many occasions, they just get overlooked. I always look through them and try and help as many people as possible with parts, even if it's just links to the parts they need :daumenhoch:

Those who have benefited from this will say yes but I'd say it was unfair personally. All part of the game I guess.
Is it fair for people to give other members stick for splitting/profiteering when they do it themselves? It's totally fine if they're in the clique but outsiders who do it get hounded off the site... :police:

To be honest, I tend to dib for someone if i've seen an add in the wanted section........could be anyone, not just people i know or class as mates :-\

I don't agree about the clique thing Terry, I've dibbed for folk I don't know, I've just read the wanted section. ;)
I for one am a regular to the wanted section. I've got some parts myself due to other people's threads. Say you wanted a part, and someone has that part, it may be at a price that may not agree to your budget, so you may pass. It may suit my budget so will take the part should the original thread author pass. 8)
