Can someone give me a bit of info on Cook Bros cranks please

I purchased a downhill MTB from a second hand shop a while ago. It had been put together by someone who new a bit about bikes by the looks of things and one of the things that attracted me to the bike was the fact it had Cook Bros crank arms. Now I'd seen these on BMX builds in the past and I think  there not all that common.  Are Cook Bros still making bikes, how long do they go back and will I be able to fit them to an OS BMX?
