What to do and which way to go ? GTS ~ Have a Goosey gander !
BENDYCAT ELEVENTEEN:
well just got round to buying some starchem of ebay, as the nitromors is as much use as a chocolate oven ::) even though i did have a couple of goes with the new stuff as the yellow paint was bloody hard to shift ~ still got some bits to get off in places
But i though i would show you any way before i carry on ;)
two questions for you lot to answer
Right now i'm stuck ??? when i first got this fame in i had thought of how it would go and look - now nearly 4 years on i have learnt more and the wrongs and rights of building (well a little bit ;D)
i have tw0 ideas of maybe what it could look like
1. is yellow powdercoat with blue and chrome parts (this would be a close colour yellow to the original look it had
2. see if it will polish up and sort of leave it survivor style ~ the added tubing should polish up and the rest of the frame i will do my best but there will still be marks ~ again it will be blue and chrome parts
so second part is, it's a April '83 Team frame - hutch trickstar style frame stand and extra tubing on the down tube to seat tube - i have two sets of goose forks i can use for it ~ the chrome 1" or the 7/8" that came with the frame that can be powdered
So do i build it up as early '83 style or later freestyle style ? i know the yellow or the chrome will also make a difference to the look
so...
chrome early look ?
yellow early look ?
chrome freestyle look ?
yellow freestyle look ?
so lease let em know your thoughts ???
cheers B ;)
hunterdubber:
Because it is what it is
Has to be
Yellow freestyle look
Not sure about the blue parts though Bendy,,its a bit GT themed yellow and blue :-\
maybe red , silver or black parts would be better :daumenhoch:
BENDYCAT ELEVENTEEN:
I know what you mean about the GT look - but i have done the decals already ::) and have some blue parts ready
Mongoose Trickstar Decals
Nos blue dc mx 1000
blue and yellow oakley style grips
Pro class chain ring set in blue
Redline cranks
Shimano DX's to resto in blue
Blue Renthal post
Early Hutch donut clamp
kalex:
i like yellow frames
but as yours is a freestyle i would go with a more wacky colour, plus as it's a one of a kind you don't have to go with a factory spec'd colour
Pooch:
That is cool bendy :coolsmiley:
