I would say it depends on how tall your forks are as the threaded section needs to stick out quite a bit. My 85 master didn't have enough room for a headlock and the forks were standard.  :daumenhoch:

+1 to that. A few times i've gone to add a nice headlock as a finishing touch only to realise i've run out of thread  :-\

ordered the cable from Amazon and will look into getting tech 77 levers. I will see how much thread for headlock, its a 1986 Haro FST.

got the savage cable and tech 77 levers and all working great now :)
