Shipping from US to UK.

How much are you guys paying to ship small items like seatclamps, brake levers etc from the US to here, just been on the Hutch website and they want £30.00 to ship a single seatclamp, also got a shipping quote from a guy on ebay of £25.00 for a single dirt skirt.

Havn't bought anything from the states for ages but have paid $75.00 for a frame and forks in the past, just seems crazy expensive now with the shipping costing more than the item is worth.

Something strange going on recently.  If making the exporting of goods stupidly expensive is the US way of getting itself out of the sh1t, its gonna backfire

That Swan Guy:
I received some handlebars from the US and the actual shipping on the box was $53.55.
For a box 30" x 10" and weighing the same as chrome expert bars.

stu70:
Sounds like it's best to stick to buying from within the UK then, just can't believe it costs 30 quid to post a seatclamp.

Jaan:
US postal rates went up January 27 & they clobbered international shipping rates.
