Hi-ten frames

Bit of a weird one here. We all like crmo where possible or allyminium for the race bikes.

What is the draw back and limitation of the hi tensile street frames? Does it really make that much difference to a not so good rider if the geometry is the same?

I realise some of the entry/mid level bikes are made with this stuff and want to know whether t steer clear of them or just get on and ride?

Not as strong and in most cases light as a full cromo for frame.

I wouldn't worry too much though if you're not busting massive airs and tail whips

A lot of completes at the lower end are HT with cromo down tube but ones like united and so on are still pretty light.
