you clear coat it after so it's as hard as a painted finish,think you can use a Matt clear coat too..

We had a tank at work for a while,once item is dipped it needs to be lacquered
We had carbon fibre,leopard print skulls to name but a few,it's quite tricky to do and needs a lot of practice
But the end result is excellent
