Stuck 3 Piece Cranks

I'm wondering / hoping someone has a tip for getting crank arms off.

So I have a couple of sets of Sugino GT cranks that i want to swap out, i've removed the end caps and bolts but the arms just don't want to budge...

Is it just a case of whacking them with a mallet or is there some sort of witchcraft that i'm unaware of?  ???

Try soaking them overnight in petrol or wd40
