Gish:
hi fellas, i have these sun chinook rims (on TNT hubs) that are a green colour and was wondering what is the best way to strip the anno off and polish them ???

i had a quick go woth some oven pride this morning on the inside of the rim but hasnt done owt  :-\

it does have a sticker on the rim saying 'hard anno'   :-[

any info would be grateful

pickle:
As the label states.....they are hard anodised and i don't know how to get that off  ???

GavinDavis:
Hard anno I believe is a son of a gun to strip  :(

stidds:
Hard anodising is a git to remove, it can be done, but the difference between 'normal' and 'hard' anodising is that normal anodising is on the surface of the base material and hard anodising is part of the base material.

This means that when it is removed it will probably lose some of the base material also.

Probably best to not remove it.

Gish:
Ok cheers  :daumenhoch:
