headset tightening tips?

just wondering if anyone has any tips on tightening your headset nut on a coloured epoch mori headset with out marking the coating?

cloth between spanner and nut and do really slowly :daumenhoch:

i use a bit of old innertube wrapped around the top nut.

Electrical tape on the headset spanner/wrench surface :daumenhoch:
