Outstanding BMX parts
OrgasmDonor:
Since i stopped building i have not contributed much to BMXy threads so heres an effort.
What parts, frames etc do you think are outstanding, quality, fit for purpose. Not necessarily what you would chose for a build but ones that you unbiasedly know are good and fookin quality. Although parts have evolved, this could cover a multitude of eras and comprise of parts you appreciated as the best at the time.
i'm not familiar with new school stuff so i have not included any in my list, but here goes
Landing Gears (BITD if your life depended on forks, i think these would have fit the bill)
Suntour clamp
Suntour freewheel
Tange beartrap II
Shimano DXs (i hate platform peds, but i can't argue with these)
GT early 90s dimple stem (pure strength and quality)
Revcore F/F (for geometry, quality n strength in a race frame what else came close?)
Elina lightening bolt seat
GT straight seatpost
pitbull I caliper
Tech 3 lever
Ami tri's/rounds (altho the very first run of sharp 1.11s with the soft compound took some beating)
7x's
suzue sealed L/F hubs
Comp II's (i know comp3's are the staple but i had a compII on the rear for years BITD n it never fookin wore out!)
VG seat guts (amazed other companies did rip these off, they are bombproof)
linear cables
Profile cranks (90s)
CW bars (not my cup of tea now, but had them BITD n be hard pushed to find stronger usable bars back then)
izumi's
profile c/wheels
just my opinion of outstanding bits, due to my shallowness, i dont or have never used some of them in favour of what i like but have an appreciation of them
feel free to disagree, enlighten n educate :daumenhoch: (new school insight would be awesome too :daumenhoch:)

doubt anybody could argue with that :daumenhoch:
Gnarlyscoots:
Ukai speedline rims (you could bash these around all day long and due to their double skin, they were hard as nails)
Suntour sealed hubs
Mathauser finned brake pads (stopped on a dime)
Tech 5 levers
Tange/Tioga SC-2 seat clamp
Kenda whitewall tyres (although they wore quickly, they gripped like fook, great tyre)
