On a gen 1 the serial number should be on the inside of the rear right dropout,  (http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php'topic=62683.0)

looks quite like an Orion ..... missing coaster anchor etc      (http://bmxmuseum.com/bikes/orion/10157)
