From this:

Bad repair to crack on joint of down tube to head tube, obviously had a front end impact at some point as fork steerer is bent aswell. A real shame as otherwise the rest of the frame is nice and straight with good og chrome. Oh apart from heat damage to seat tube.



To this:

Replacement T45 downtube, cut in and brased by Brian Curtis himself and he filled any tiny dings with brass filler :4_17_5:
Forks are repairable but he dug out a pair of prototype undrilled race forks and offered them at same price  :shocked: So that was a no brainer for me :D
His work is second to none  :smitten: Off to the chromers with it next.





 









Also got him to sign one of my other Curtis frame sets while i was there :coolsmiley:
