Help fitting 3pc crank

(1/2) > >>

brettnai:

Just bought a  United Nash NS crank for my bike. I've never fitted once from scratch.
Can someone tell me which order I should do things?

I have a sprocket and top hat shim washer thingy. Should the sprocket go on first and then the shim or vice versa?
I'm guessing the sprocket so it's flush against the crack arm with no gap

Is that right?

Jon The Bassist:
Usually, yes. There are loads of videos on youtube for stuff like this that will show you how better than i could clumsily type :daumenhoch:

Dannywhac:
Yep - sprocket on first, hand tighten bolt so there's still a bit of movement. Then pop on the top hat washer, pop your axle through as a guide so the sprocket hole and crank arm hole line up proper and tighten the sprocket bolt.

brettnai:
sweet, all done! thanks

You're wrong & you're a grotesquely ugly freak.
