Mongoose motomag 1981 restoration

(1/7) > >>

Oldboyburner:
Lost on old site so here goes again
Got this a year ago in a very sorry state way too far gone to be a survivor so the project begins

Front hub stamped mongoose shot with rust sad realy if rechromed will lose stamp

So got some motomags

Had welded back up with spare web and painted

All original stamped parts to the chromers

Goose stamped rat traps very faint but still there

Crank and stem next and bars

Crank and stem painted in a charcole type matt coated paint
Bars satin black

Original chainring not rechromed just polished
Restored chain painted to match decals

This is primer stage showing pitting after blasting

Me painting it

Start refurb on non coaster mags

Now how it looks

Cheers for looking
Mark
