Redline 401's pedal thread size

Not sure if this is the right place, but does happen to know what pedals the original redline 401's take, 1/2" or 9/16" ?
I assumed they would be 9/16" as they are 3 piece, but someone told me 1/2".
If anyone could PM me the size would be great as I have to send someone pedals for a set and I can't get hold of him to ask.
