How to strip black MX 1000's ( update now with pics )

<< < (2/5) > >>

BENDYCAT ELEVENTEEN:
use a old tooth brush to get into the hard to reach places or it will leave black bits in places - the tooth brush can melt if left in

used peek for a mirror/chrome look

autosol little too harsh in my eyes for a clean look

Cheers lads  :daumenhoch:
Spen my calipers aren't that good so I'm gonna strip em and experiment
With some Canodising on em, thanks anyway :)

Rabdul06:

I usually throw the part in a zip lock bag, add the oven cleaner, close the bag and rub it through the bag. Keeps everything in one place. Then when your done, wash the part with soap/water seal the bag up and lob it in the bin...

MaD-RoK:
Use Marigolds and paint it on with a small decorating paintbrush and keep moving the stuff around. Best way to not overcook them, do it in the sink and once the anno is off just switch on the tap. ;)

dordymush:
caustic soda will strip em in no time.
just keep an eye on em or you'll end up with half a caliper  :slayer:
