Kuwahara KYZ rebuild or not

Help! At a bit of a cross roads and sure what to do. Got a KYZ frame and forks that have been repainted as an ET replica. Crap finish so needs to be redone. Do I rechrome and do a KYZ rebuild or repowder the ET and do an ET build, albeit with a wrong frame (small hole in gusset) or do i just cut my losses and sell on ebay lol. Any ideas? If I could get the holes filled, i would be tempted to go for an ET build but it is cheating.
