Red Alloy hubed Skyways
BENDYCAT ELEVENTEEN:
Well just finished another set of skyways - razor'd and dyed - this set is for a trade of a mongoose Expert frame and forks from a mate - there gonna go on his chrome TA or the white TA he has - but I thought I would just see what they were like on my '82 supergoose ( going to be running sumo pro class on it )
He wanted a slightly deeper red and polished hubs - they spin smooth now >:D
No rust anywhere
Rabdul06:
Great job on the wheels - how do you do the hubs without messing up the plastic around them? Do you use a Dremel?
BENDYCAT ELEVENTEEN:
tape them off with masking tape - fold over both sides and cut round the hubs - polish up and after wash off after with soap water (hand wash better than some thing like fairy liquid ) - the peek polish will wash off and after dry well, use a Goddards Silver cloth to polish up even more and shine sweet - job done and let sore fingers rest ;D
BENDYCAT ELEVENTEEN:
sorry forgot to say - all done by hand - no dremel needed ;)
Devilock:
Very nice B.
Can you re-dye to the same hue?
