Anyone ever worked with carbon fibre?

Got an idea ;) and know the principle behind it all, even seen a few catamarans etc built on how its made :LolLolLolLol: but hoping some of you lot work or have experience with it ???

I have worked with Carbon fibre in a structural manner on Harriers. If you get it right then it is good get it wrong and it is so brittle.

Got bigger plan then wheels this time guys :)
Just wondering whether layering it up in a negative mold or forming it round a dense Polystyrene shape and vacuum bagging it would be a better option?

Are you going to use pre preg?
Or try and mix your own. The resin will normally react with Polystyrene. We used to use heat lamps to get it to set correctly but the big problem is getting it laid up with delam. a vacum cam help with that as you have already said
