I had some professionally cut down and the ends rounded off neatly
But seeing as I'm living down South AND the guy was a bandit I ended up paying £20
Was my own fault for not getting a price upfront ::)
Dannywhac:
Do it yourself - wind a nut down past where you're gonna cut (at 90 degrees to the axle - don't follow the thread), cut the axle and wind the nut off (it cleans the cut threads). Pop a bit of black paint or summit over the cut end to stop em rusting.
rodriguez:
Tidy the sharp ends with a file before you unwind the nut and paint like Danny suggested.
Howser:
Same as Griff and it can be done. I've had mine cut down - Angle grinder and rounded off the ends. If you're doing it be careful about the nut being threaded back on afterwards - think the guy who did mine left the nut on.
Good luck and they look much better shortened :daumenhoch:
