Definitely looks like a DX / Tech 3 combo.  There's another pic knocking about of a twin speed set up that I think also uses a DX.  I'll see if I can find it.......

What I think he is running is 4x racelace, this is where all of the spoke heads face inwards.

He is not running a browning two speed though he is running a 2 speed Shimano rear derailleur.

Whereas DY is running a Shimano rear tensioner (I have the same one on my Schwinn Stingray).

Mmm, i'm not sure how to do that having only ever laced one set of wheels  "help"
